OUR GRANDSON...

CHRISTIAN E. LOZANO

This little guy has literally grown up on and around horses.  That is a lot to say for all of his being a year and a half old!  Is it any wonder that he can sit a horse on his own?  He is well on his way to becomming quite the accomplished rider.  And of course, pictures will be added and updated on a regular basis as they become available.  What else would you expect from Gramma and PaaPa?

Although not a therapy assistant, Zips Cherokee Chief aka Scooby has joined the team at Iron Horse. Scooby will be shown as a western pleasure horse by owner, Vicki Karius

IRON HORSE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME...

"ZIPS CHEROKEE CHIEF"

aka

 "SCOOBY"

Although "Scooby" will not work in the capacity of an equine therapy assistant, he is too much of a snob for that.  (What else would you expect after winning the Buckskin World Championship in 2003!)  He will, however, be available to accept all the usual petting and admiration of all the clients and visitors to the center.  He has learned quite quickly that carrots and apples come his way if he humbles himself.

Scooby will be shown in the spring of 2007 in western pleasure by owner Vicki Karius.  Let's wish them both good luck in the show ring.

NEW ARRIVALS AT IRON HORSE

"Hot Fudge Sundae", affectionately known as Fudge, will be undergoing training as a Therapeutic Driving prospect.  "Fudge", is a pretty little black and white three year old half arab, half draft horse mix mare.  Standing all of 12 hands high, she will start her training shortly after she becomes accustomed to her new home.  She was imported from the Pennsylvania mountain region, and was raised by the Amish.  A little strong willed, but a nice quality in a horse destined for pulling a cart.  Her coloring and markings have already drawn attention from passers by, that stop and ask if she is for sale.  A picture will be posted shortly.

MJ Sailin Chic Olena, a.k.a., "TORINO"

Torino arrived at Iron Horse in August at the ripe old age of 4 months old.  He has adjusted quite nicely for a colt with such wonderful breeding.  His grandfather, Smart Chic Olena, was the all time winning cutting and reining champion, earning well over 4 million dollars in his career!  Although Torino will not be trained as a therapy horse, he will however be available for all the usual petting and admiration from all the visitors to the center.  He has also learned to share his favorite treat, oatmeal cookies, with anyone willing to offer him a bite.  However, once you offer him a cookie, don't plan on getting it back.  A picture will be posted shortly.

SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE IN DECEMBER 2006

"Shez All But Dun"

We have not yet picked out a call name for this stunning little filly, that can boast of her grand dad being none other than the famous "Hollywood Dun It".  Here again, her breeding has her earmarked for training as a cutting/reining prospect.  Her exceptionally passive temperment however, may allow her to fill in as an "Equine Therapy Ambasador* in her time off while being trained.  We are anxiously awaiting her arrival.  And of course, pictures will be posted as soon as they are available.

*Will not be utilized as a therapy horse.
